Reviews and Ratings
The hotel gave us mixed feelings - while the rooms were a bit dated and noisy, they did provide free mineral water and a powerful shower. The service was top-notch, always happy, friendly, and efficient, offering a range of amenities. The location was convenient with nice views, but the dining experience stood out with its variety and freshness. The facilities were satisfactory, although the rooms could use some updates.
The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Sienna in spacious peaceful gardens, offering spectacular views across Siena and its countryside. The rooms, while sparsely furnished and with a view over a ditch, were extremely old like a 100 years old. The service was very friendly, especially the American Bar man who impressed us with his great cocktails. The location allows you to explore Siena without being right in the center of the busy city, with easy access to everything via the bus stop at the front gate. The dining experience was good, although there could be a wider selection for gluten-free options. The facilities were well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant stay.
The hotel offers functional and comfortable rooms in the Casablanca building, although they may not match the photos on the website. The service is very personable and attentive, making us eager to return. The location, while requiring a short walk or taxi ride to the town center, is surrounded by beautiful gardens and convenient for sightseeing. The dining experience, with a good choice of cakes and pastries but limited savoury options, could be improved for a more balanced selection.
I found the hotel to be a mix of positives and negatives. While the historic building and friendly reception staff were charming, the rooms were dark and uncomfortable. Despite the lovely location and view over Siena, there were cleanliness issues and limited facilities.
I had a lovely stay at the Casablanca building. The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable, but the room was incredibly comfortable and clean. The hotel offers a great value for the price paid, and the location is convenient to explore the city center.
The hotel seemed a bit better with water provided in the fridge, though the rooms had road noise and were quite dark and dingy, not matching the peaceful lush landscapes in the photos. The rooms were of a good standard and clean overall.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms provided a tranquil environment and pleasant temperature conducive for a good night's sleep, but they were very dated with uncomfortable mattresses. The location was nice and relaxing, overlooking the outskirts of Siena, served by the very amusing Donato. The dining experience offered a lavish buffet, but waiting for the coffee machine was tedious and sometimes didn't work properly.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were quite big with all the required equipment, including complimentary bottles of water, but they were a bit too dark and got very warm in the night even with the air conditioning on at its lowest temperature setting. The service ranged from being some of the best I've experienced to instances of cold behavior. The location was good, not far from the city walls, but slightly far from town and peaceful. The dining experience had a curiously large selection, but half of it was cakes and tarts, with helpful personnel. Despite these factors, the gardens boasted amazing views of Siena.
